Profile
Kareena Jaisinghani is a Senior Analyst at the Climate and Sustainability Initiative (CSI), where she contributes to analytical research, financial assessment, and stakeholder engagement across climate- and sustainability- linked initiatives. Her work focuses on translating financial and market insights into actionable inputs for policy dialogue, investment decision-making, and transition planning, enabling more informed engagement with public and private sector stakeholders.
Kareena is a Chartered Accountant and has cleared all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) programme, bringing strong financial acumen, valuation expertise, and analytical rigour to her work. Her professional journey includes experience in investment banking and investor- facing roles, which shape her applied approach to climate and sustainability finance. She previously worked as a Manager at a boutique investment banking firm, where she led financial modelling and valuation analysis, prepared information memorandums for capital-raising and transaction mandates, and supported multiple deals with cumulative exposure exceeding USD 25 million.
In this role, Kareena engaged closely with founders, investors, and advisors, supporting capital-raising discussions and financial planning assignments. She developed scenario-based financial models and assisted in investor outreach, including fundraising from overseas investors that contributed to capital mobilisation of over USD 1.2 million. These experiences strengthened her ability to translate complex financial assumptions into clear, decision- oriented narratives for diverse stakeholders.
At CSI, Kareena applies this commercial and financial grounding to sectoral research, valuation and risk assessments, and structured analytical outputs. Her ability to integrate financial analysis with sectoral and policy context enables CSI to engage more effectively with investors, policymakers, and institutional stakeholders on climate and sustainability transitions.
Outside of work, Kareena has a long-standing engagement with the performing arts, having trained in Bharatanatyam for over seven years. She enjoys travelling and exploring new cuisines, collects vintage coins and currency notes, and holds a Blue Belt in Taekwondo. She is also a record holder in Asia’s Book of Records for participating in Asia’s largest salsa performance.
