Labanya has over 20 years in financial services, green finance, and international development. He is a Director at the Climate and Sustainability Initiative (CSI). Besides, he is a Visiting Senior Fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).He earlier worked with the Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), IEEFA, Climate Policy Initiative (CPI), Commonwealth Secretariat, UNDP, World Resources Institute (WRI) and Asian Development Bank (ADB). He is currently the principal investigator for the “Financing India’s Net-Zero Targets” roadmap, which is being developed at NITI Aayog. Before entering the climate change field, Labanya Prakash Jena spent more than a decade in the financial services sector. Labanya is an avid writer on climate and green finance. He co-authored a book, “Net-Zero Trio: Synchronizing Technology, Business, and Policy for Green Transition,” published by Bloomsbury.
